Wooster School Digital Media teacher Brittany Nisco, a professional filmmaker, along with members of her production team, spent the day at Wooster with Middle and Upper School students and faculty.

Brittany Nisco Productions recently completed their feature length film, Wandering Off, after nearly three years since pre-production started, which is set to be released later this fall. The day began gathered in the Forever Young Gymnasium where Ms. Nisco and her team presented the trailer of the film and then spoke about their specific roles in film production.

Brittany Nisco worked at Good Morning America and NBC before working as a director and producer under her company, Brittany Nisco Productions, LLC. While her main focus is movies, she also works on music videos and shorts.

Members of the production team include: Chris Plunkett - a cinematographer based out of New Jersey, and co-owner of his company Stone Street Cinema. His short, Egg, was featured on PBS; Jeremy Eisener - a sound mixer and boom operator based out of Boston. He has worked on numerous movies, music videos, and live sound recordings, most recently Super Troopers 2; Connor Misset - a camera operator and producer based out of CT. He has produced multiple shows for Intrigue TV, where he also edits; John Murray - a producer based out of CT. He has worked on award-winning live TV election coverage for CT; Travis Golino - a DIT and editor based out of CT. He has worked on award-winning live TV election coverage for CT, as well.

This whole crew, plus 2 other crew members and 3 interns made the movie, Wandering Off. It deals with family dynamics when faced with a crisis, specifically siblings holding onto decades of tension. Their parents, on the other hand, are obliviously blissful...and nowhere to be found. The movie was filmed in CT in the summer of 2016, and will be premiering in Los Angeles in October 2017.

After the crew took time to explain their roles, students and faculty had an opportunity to participate, as they constructed a scene from the movie School of Rock.

Later in the day, Upper School students who are enrolled in digital media courses, were invited to join Ms. Nisco and her team for a hands on digital media workshop. These students had the opportunity to interact with the professionals, ask questions, and work side by side with them on their class projects.
