What is Tutoring?

A tutor possesses experience and knowledge in a subject area, and is able to use that experience and knowledge to guide others.

A tutor helps students improve their learning and study strategies in order to promote independence and empowerment.

Our tutors collaborate with each student’s teacher (s), in order to effectively target the student’s instructional areas and to be able to provide strategies to be successful.

In individual tutoring, a tutor is carefully matched with one student. This enables the session to be tailored to the needs of the individual student.
