Creating and Sustaining a Culture of Giving

Giving to Wooster does more than fund technology and innovation or support teaching and learning through professional development for teachers. Giving to Wooster makes a statement to our community and to those looking to join it. Our shared commitment to our community is best seen when we are showing our support for it. Every year, donors demonstrate their commitment to our culture and community by making gifts to the Wooster School Annual Fund.

Annual gifts to Wooster School are perhaps the most meaningful of all. By their very nature, annual gifts are just that -- gifts made every year. These gifts are personal, meaningful, and visible representations of our donors’ commitment to the work we do. Donors often ask “what does Wooster fund with these gifts?” The answer is simple: everything! Teaching and learning, faculty professional development, technology and innovation, college and career readiness programs, the arts and athletics, and all the things that make a Wooster education extraordinary. Tuition alone cannot provide the level of education we all desire for our students, nor can tuition alone sustain our culture of diversity and inclusion. If these things matter to us all then we all should demonstrate that commitment and make a gift in proportion to our experience and in support of the community we call our own.

These gifts represent all annual gifts, both restricted and unrestricted. Additionally, donors gave to support capital projects and improvements on campus and funded a number of scholarships in support of Wooster’s commitment to financial assistance for deserving students.
