Last Saturday, the girls lacrosse team played Greens Farms Academy on their turf. We had three 20-minute scrimmages against their Varsity and JV teams. Though we played well, we lost 0-5, 0-5, and 2-4. The scrimmages helped us prepare for the season ahead, so we were grateful to be able to get that practice in.
Last Wednesday, the girls JV unit played against Master's. We were down 2-4 at the half, and came back to win 9-5. We worked really hard to pull out the win, and our teamwork helped us a lot. Lillie Shipman '22 scored four goals and Darby Drahzal, '21 added three goals.
This week, we played at the King School. King is not in our league, and we knew that it would be a tough team. We went into the game with the right mindset and we felt confident because in practice this week everyone was very engaged and playing their hardest. The final score of the game was 12-2, King. We had some very good moments in that game but it also showed us what we need to work on for the season ahead to make us a stronger team.
