Since the last update, the Boys Varsity Basketball team has played three games. In the first one, we won 56-47 to Christian Heritage School. This was our first game back from break, and we played really strong. One of the biggest reasons that we won was our intense defense. This was led by Max Mo-T, who played great defense against their best player.

In our next game, we lost 47-37 to Watkinson. During this game, the ball just would not go into the basket. After hitting double digit threes in the game before, we went 4/28 from beyond the arc. Despite playing good defense throughout the game, the lack of any offense made it impossible to win.

This past Wednesday, we lost to The Gunnery 62-42. We actually had a really strong first half. Despite continued shooting woes, we managed to slow them down as well, and we went into the half up by seven. However, we completely fell apart in the second half. We were giving up tons of fast break points, we couldn't stop them in the half court, and we continued to be unable to score. This gave them an enormous lead, which carried until the end of the game.

We have two games in the next week. The first is today away at 6:00pm against Brunswick School. This is expected to be a challenge as they are a much bigger school than us. The second one is on Thursday at home at 4:45pm against Master's New York. We haven't played them in a long time, and they haven't played anyone that we've played, so we don't know anything about them.
