WiNK Athletes of the Week

by Jack Zahner & Zayden Williams

WiNK Athlete of the Week

Jack Matz #24

Jack Matz got all the attention of the defense on Saturday, he finished with 2 receptions for 79 yards and a touchdown. Matz's deep catch was a beauty, a back shoulder ball from the quarterback that Matz hauled in and took for six. He caught another ball in the game that he took for a ton of yards after catch. Although it wasn't the result they were hoping for against Holderness, Matz had an amazing game. He's had a monster year and a huge impact on the Harvey collaborative team. Bravo Jack!

WINK Athlete Of The Wee

Kate Breen GK

Kate Breen was not only a force on Saturday, but a force all season for the girls soccer team, stopping pens and breakaways for the Generals. Kate stopped multiple in the air and was a force against breakaways in the HVAL championship on Saturday. She claimed multiple breakaways and corners to help the girls overcome the Williams Blues in a 5-4 HVAL championship win. Kate has been a stud in the back all season, she stops penalty kicks with ease and is agile with her saves. She's been great in the air and it has been on show all season. Unfortunately, the girls season came to a heartbreaking loss in Rhode Island against a strong St. Andrew's team. Bravo girls!
