Why Steph Curry Is The Greatest Shooter Of All Time

Steph Curry is a player who is idolized by many and has already cemented himself as one of the best NBA players of all time. During his time in the NBA Curry has collected many accolades including four NBA finals appearances, three NBA championships and seven All-Star appearances. Some reasons why Steph Curry is the best shooter of all time is because of his incredible playoffs performance and because of how great he has been in the regular season.

Steph Curry winning the NBA finals three times is no small feat and it was against tough competition. For four years in a row, Steph Curry and Klay Thompson, the splash brother, led the Warriors to go against Lebron James and the Cavs. Currently Steph Curry holds the record for most 3-pointers made throughout the playoffs with 470. The person with the second most playoff 3-pointers made is 414 held by Lebron James. In his great run in the playoffs, Steph Curry doesn't have any finals MVPs but still played well. Steph Curry's former teammate Andre Igoudala, who was extremely clutch in the finals and made huge shots to win it, ended up winning finals MVP in Steph Curry's first NBA finals win. A "sports analyst" named Max Kellerman prior to Igoudala winning Finals MVP and playing really clutch, and even went was far to say "of everyone on Golden State, open shot, the fate of the universe on the line, the Martians have the death beam pointed at earth, you better hit it, I want IGUODALA. ... High leverage moment, fate of the universe on the line, open shot, not go-get-it, I want Iguodala taking that shot for me."

Throughout the regular season Steph Curry has been incredible. He is currently ranked second in career 3-pointers made with 2664 behind Ray Allen who has made 2973. Ray Allen played an incredible 18-year career making some of the most iconic plays of all time and winning NBA championships. Curry is currently on pace to break Ray Allen's record by the end of next year. This is made more impressive by the fact that Ray Allen has played seven more years than Steph Curry. Curry has won MVP two times in his career, both being in back to back years.

In 2016 when Steph won his second MVP award, he won it by unanimous vote, becoming the first NBA player ever to do so. This is no easy feat and being in company only to himself in that regard is very impressive. This is made even more impressive considering the best NBA player of all time Michael Jordan didn't even accomplish this feat.

Steph Curry throughout his time in the NBA has had an incredible career. Whether it's in the regular season or beating the second best player of all time in the finals three times, Steph Curry has consistently shown why he is the best shooter of all time.
