Even though this year looks different for soccer, as we will not be competing against other teams, we decided to carry the tradition of having captains. Coach Peirera announced captains on Wednesday. Before the announcement he had us all vote on three team members who we think best fit the role. After receiving the votes he decided there would be four senior captains, Kat Mancinone, Darby Drahzal, Katie Washer, and Savanna Sikorski. In honor of our newly-elected captains, we asked each of them a couple of fun facts about themselves and an overview of their experience with soccer!

Darby Drahzal: To start off, I have been at Wooster since first grade and have been playing soccer since I began middle school. I used to play forward, but these past few years I have been playing mostly defense as well as middie here and there. My favorite show is One Tree Hill, and my favorite snack is definitely strawberries! Although I'm disappointed to not have games during my final year of soccer, I look forward to getting back into shape as well as growing closer with new and former teammates.

Kat Mancinone: Kat came to Wooster for her Junior year and is serving as captain for the second time. Kat is a very determined and competitive player on and off the field. She is a leader who is willing to teach anyone how to play soccer. She has been playing soccer for 13 years and she plays forward. Her favorite show is Magnum PI and her favorite snack is Hippeas but the sriracha sunshine flavor! She is most looking forward to having fun with the team and making memories she will never forget!

Katie Washer: Katie Washer came to Wooster during her Sophomore year and has been playing soccer since she was eight years old. You can find Katie Washer in the center defense who is very aggressive and competitive. Her favorite show is Outer Banks and her favorite snack is ice cream. She is looking forward to getting into shape and getting better ball skills.

Savanna Sikorski: Savanna has been at Wooster since 6th grade, and has been playing soccer ever since she was 5. She's a huge asset on the field, normally playing middie and sometimes forward. Sav's favorite TV show is Ozark, and her favorite thing to snack on is a giant fruit salad. She is really looking forward to making new friends on the team and having fun/getting into shape at practice.
