The most surprising team in the NHL

The most surprising team in the NHL is the New York Rangers. Because of their overall record of 26-10-4, and 56 points this season, it has pushed them into first place in the division. Led by superstars Adam Fox and Artemi Penarin, they have beaten the defending champions twice, along with the Edmonton Oilers, who have two of the best players in the NHL with Connor McDavid and Leon Drisadl. After completing a west coast trip which they ended with a 3-2 record, they are now prepping for one of the best teams in the league in Carolina. The Rangers need this game to remain as one of the top teams in the league. The Rangers have other great players like Chris Krieder and all-star caliber player Mika Zibanijad. Lucky for the Rangers everything is clicking at the right time. Igor Shestirkin is having a great season in net and is arguably one of the best goalies in the league. Shestirkin's breakout season comes while backup Alexander Georgiev is also having a solid season in net. But without a doubt Igor is better. All in all the Rangers have been great this year and will look to continue that throughout the year.
