As many of you may know the Major League Baseball season has been pushed back due to the coronavirus pandemic. The MLB is trying their absolute best to have a baseball season in 2020 which could start in June or July. If the MLB would start the season at all, they have made it very clear that no fans will be allowed to attend the games. One plan the MLB is considering is having three, ten-team divisions where each team only plays within their division. This would obviously take away the American and National League aspect of the season. The MLB season might have to start in Arizona or Florida but the league is optimistic about getting every team back to their home ballparks as soon as possible.
"This is going to be a season like we've never seen," said an MLB executive. A major roadblock for the MLB is the struggle of travel with the coronavirus out there. This is something that has to be taken into consideration when thinking of plans to start the season. At the end of the day all we want to know is will there be a season? Baseball fans like myself sure hope so. But, I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
