On Monday, December 19, the Wooster community held a holiday skate at the Danbury Ice Arena. It started with 30 minutes of pick-up hockey, followed by 1.5 hours of open skate, for all ages of Wooster students. There was a great turnout, and some very talented skaters out there! Being on the ice at the Holiday Skate inspired Paige Storrier, '17, to give ice hockey a try! She joined my (Mrs. Thaler's) women's hockey team for our weekly Friday morning scrimmage in Ridgefield. Paige said, "I had a lot of fun and I'm really glad I did it! Everyone was super nice, helpful and encouraging!" Way to go, Paige!
