On August 21, 2020, the Lingenhelds welcomed their second child, Brennan Charles, into their home, a little over a year after they had their daughter, Hadley. We decided to check in with Mr. L to see how he's doing with two little kids running around.

How is it with two kids in the house?

"Awesome. It's like the best thing that ever happened to us, ever by far," Mr. L told us. He explained that thinking about having two young children seems like it would be twice the effort to keep up with them, but Mr. L says that it doesn't even seem like a difference. He just loves being home and with his kids! It also helps that Brennan is happy when his diaper is changed and he's fed. "They basically just lay there, change their diaper, and sleep." Hadley is very affectionate with Brennan, "she just likes to go all in with hugs, and he just doesn't really understand what she's doing, but he doesn't mind." He also said, "I have so much respect for people who have a kid or numerous kids."

Favorite moments?

"Babies love contrast, like black and white photos. One night while I was feeding Brennan, it was dark but he could still make out the curtain rod and seam from the ceiling to wall. He smiled at the lines he could see."

"We've been seeing a lot of each other during the pandemic. And it's really great to see your kids all the time."

Are there any similarities between you, Mrs. L, and the kids?

Mr. L said that both kids have Mrs. L's smile and Hadley has a "pouty face" like Mr. L did when he was younger! He also mentioned, although it's not a similarity, that Hadley is very fun and energetic, he even described her as a "party toddler."

Do you have any pets and if so, how do they interact with the kids?

Mr. L told us that they have two dogs. "The dogs interact with the kids well, they're nice or indifferent. The dogs are extremely loving."

When is Mrs. L coming back?

"Mrs. L is coming back sometime during the second week of December!" Mr. L also said, "Kelsey (Mrs. L) is like the best mom. She is amazingly attentive. She's just an awesome mom."
