Class of 1967
Tom McAdams '67 , Portland, OR, passed away in September 2016 while on a hike in the Columbia River Gorge. After graduating Wooster in 1967, Tom attended Kenyon College from 1967-1971. He traveled west to Oregon Health and Sciences University and graduated with a degree in nursing in 1982. Tom spent a 38 year career at the Oregon Burn Center at Legacy Emanuel Hospital and retired in January 2016. He was an avid outdoorsman; favoriting hiking, skiing, canoeing and sailing. Another one of Tom's loves was the Boston Red Sox and he frequented minor league baseball games in Portland. Friends and family loved his fiercely competitive nature. He is survived by his wife Cynthia, and daughters, Brittany and Alice.
Classes of 1972, 1973, and 1974
Annaliese Von Witzsky '73 managed a night out with Wooster alumni in New York City this January. Bernie Beal '72, George Johnston '72, Alex Stevens '72, Robin Kahn '73, and Rhys Moore '74 were in attendance at the Waldorf Astoria. The following day, Annaliese made her way up to the Wooster campus for a tour and lunch. "We enjoyed our revisit to our special school and place in time there. It really changed our lives in ways we didn't know then."
