Class of 1985

Claire Gladstone '85 just completed running her 70th marathon! The November 4th, 2018 TCS New York Marathon was her 6th year in a row running for Fred's Team/Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Claire enjoys seeing her Wooster classmate, Anne Sherman '84, cheering her on from the Brooklyn sidewalk. Claire also participates in an international running club, based out of Washington state, called the Marathon Maniacs. One of her next destinations is London in April to run her 75th marathon in honor of the Michael J. Fox Foundation. Go Claire!

Class of 2004

Barnett Frank '04 was named the Director of Performance Science for the National Basketball Association's Utah Jazz in Salt Lake City, Utah. In his new role, Barnett and the team’s performance healthcare staff will work on applying world-class performance science in order to enhance player readiness, recovery and rehabilitation. He joins the Jazz most recently from the University of North Carolina where he earned a PhD in human movement. During his time in Chapel Hill, Barnett worked closely with the UNC athletics, researching and implementing cutting edge technology and techniques to help support their athletes’ performance, recovery and health. Barnett obtained his undergraduate degree in kinesiology specializing in athletic training at Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana.

Class of 2017

Jess Oren '17 was the recipient of the George Shuman Jr. and Mary Louise D’olier Shuman Prize at the Dickinson College Convocation on September 2, 2018 in Carlisle, PA. This award is given each year to 2 sophomores for their academic performance and contributions to the college and community. Associate Professor of Biology, fellow Wooster Alumni, Dave Kushner '89 offered Jess his congratulations after the ceremony.
