Wooster Lower School Students Participate in Jump Rope for Heart
Posted 05/22/2018 02:51PM

Earlier this month, the entire Lower School took part in a Jump Rope for Heart event designed to celebrate the students' record-setting fundraising efforts.

Nearly 70% of the students participated in raising more than $12,000 for the American Heart Association, shattering the previous record of $9,000 set in 2015. During physical education classes, the students had fun engaging in an obstacle course challenge, scooter relays, running Tic Tac Toe, target skills, cardio workouts, and, of course, jumping rope.

There were five students who raised $1,000 or more and earned the highly coveted distinction of being able to throw a pie into Mr. MacNutt's face on the very last day of school. The five students include: First Grader Adrianna, Third Grader Penny, Fifth Grader Charlotte, Fifth Grader Gus, and Fifth Grader Alex. An enjoyable time was had by all!
