Alicia, Bayley, and Josh's recognition of a life threatening situation, quick action, and attention to medical protocols in providing life sustaining CPR and hemorrhage control care of traumatic bleeding resulted in the preservation of the victim's life on scene. All were commended for their heroic response to action in a time of need.

Wooster School graduate and current Kenyon College student Kern Byrnes was recently named the 2018 Newcomer of the Year for lacrosse in the North Coast Athletic Conference, only the second player to be honored with this award in the history of Kenyon College Lacrosse. He was also the only freshman named to the league All-Conference team, earning second team honors as a defenseman. Kern was a starter for the Kenyon College lacrosse team throughout the season and was also named as the team's MVP on defense.

David Gelfman '85, the creator of the Wooster windmill, was the spring visiting artist at Wooster this week. David spent the day working on license plate sculptures in the Honor Room and discussing his work with the students and faculty who stopped by. He wrapped up his visit with a presentation to the Upper School students.

Emma Mustich '07 recently returned to Wooster to spend the day with the 9th grade Humanities classes. Mustich is the Senior Editor, HuffPost Parents, a position she has held for the past three years.

Wooster School Alum, Dr. Noah Coburn '97, will be returning to Wooster for a guest lecture, tomorrow, Friday, February 20, 2015. Coburn is a socio-cultural anthropologist focusing on political structures and violence in the Middle East and Central Asia.

Dr. Thomas B. Coburn '61 returned to visit Wooster School's campus on November 20. An expert in religious studies, Dr. Coburn was a guest lecturer in our 9th Grade Humanities classes.

Katie Hilliard of the Great Class of 2002 came back to campus last week to visit with faculty and friends and share her experience with students in the Upper School. A professional actress, Katie has been in several movies [The Embrace (2008), Long Until Gone (2011) and Betting on Baker (2015)]. Most recently, she appeared as Angie Stanton in the season premiere of Criminal Minds on CBS.

The Amnesty International Club recently invited Tim Fitzsimons '06 to speak to the 8th through 12th grades about his experiences after graduation. Tim graduated from Tufts University, where he studied International Relations and while there was an active photojournalist. Tim is currently a freelance print, photo, and radio journalist based in Beirut, Lebanon.

Jordie Scheiner '09 is among the most decorated baseball players to ever put on a Wooster School uniform. He earned All-League honors during all four years, he won the team's Most Valuable Player award in both his junior and senior years, and he was the recipient of the Alvah Jessup Outstanding Athlete Award at graduation.
