Saturday, September 28, the Wooster School Girls Varsity Soccer team had a game against St. Lukes School. The GVS team was excited to play another wonderful group of girls.

As the first half started, both teams were looking pretty confident. A little bit into the half a girl from St. Luke’s capitalized on a defensive error and scored the first goal of the game. A well coached and experienced St. Luke’s teammate continued pressuring the ball, forcing turnovers and mental errors. The closing score of the first half was 5-0. The Generals, rebounded with a strong second half, proving to themselves they could play with St. Luke’s. After some halftime adjustments and a spirited speech by coach the girls responded. Kat Mancinone scored a goal early in the second half for the only Wooster goal of the game. The final score was 7-1 in favor of St.Luke’s.
